Video of announcement

Here is a video of Newsome announcing his decision. I can not stress how huge this is for Penn State. They were in dire need of a top quarterback after the Devlin transfer, and they end up getting one just a few days later.

Newsome seems like a great kid. He's an honors student, he's very well spoken, seems very bright. He will be a great fit for Penn State. I like having a mobile quarterback too, so that works great. Hopefully they will continue with a similar type of offense in years to come. He has a great opportunity to step in and get some PT right away, learn from Darryl Clark as his backup freshman year, and hopefully, if things progress well, he could start for three years, maybe even four if he redshirts, which I think is unlikely given Penn State's lack of depth at QB.

It's also great that he is graduating early and will enroll next month. Having this spring under his belt will do wonders in preparing him for next fall. It really showed with guys in the past like J King, D Will, and Dan Connor.

Quarterback Kevin Newsome has picked PSU over Va Tech and Boston College. This is a major signing for PSU. He and Clark will be the only two scholarship quarterbacks when spring practice starts. Newsome is a dynamic quarterback with great speed and should be able to handle the "Spread HD" If PSU can land Jelani Jenkins, the # 3 rated prospect in the country, this recruiting class could be very special.

This has become incredibly important now with the loss of Devlin. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Beware USC!

I guarantee it, Williams will take one to the house against the bros of USC. This is one of the best video compilations of what USC will be seeing.

Also, I'm tired of the lack of respect to the Big Ten. I didn't even know USC played in a conference! D2 California University of PA would beat half those jokes. If PSU had the same recruiting class as USC, according to Rivals.com, PSU might've lost two games in the past five years... maybe two.
