Hugh Jackman Sucks

Please excuse my absence last week, it was Minnesota. I had to work last Saturday so I missed the game. But from what I can surmise, Penn State still played pretty lousy. We had 21 hung on us by a 1 win team. That's not good. Obviously I can't comment on much else from last week so I'll just skip on to this week.

These type of Penn State teams can never beat Michigan. And when I say these type of I am referring to how this team is so similar to down years in the past. Ineffective offense, turnovers, and physically weak. Those teams have never upset a Michigan team. I don't think they will this year either. We have too many dropped passes, poor use of personnel, and are generally undersized where it counts. Denard Robinson is pretty good, and given our zone coverage philosophy, I think he will be able to run as he pleases most of the day given that we just don't have an athletic enough front 7 to contain him. High powered offenses give Penn State fits and I think this day will be no different. All Michigan must do is stop us a few times to win the game. Given our ability to shoot ourselves in the foot I don't think this will be hard. Plus with Fera giving away field position like school free lunch, Michigan will be in our territory with ease.

I know this all sounds incredibly pessimistic, and it is. This reverts back to seeing an Illinois offense slice through us like a hot knife through butter. Some serious changes will have to be made before my faith is restored in the defense. As for the start of Matt McGloin, it confirms what we all have known for a long time, Kevin Newsome is a lousy quarterback. I say we go old school and try to make him a linebacker. I think this one will be an ugly one to watch if you're a Penn State fan.

As for the coaching change rumors, let me be blunt: Joe Paterno should dictate when and how he leaves the program. No ifs ands or buts about it. That man is that university. Are we so callous to throw away a man who built the most honorable program in college football due to one bad season? The talks of firing him honestly make me sick. I sadly think the death of Declan Sullivan (which is completely despicable by the way) will help remind people that this is just a sport and there are more important things in life than winning a lousy football game.
